I want to encourage you to step out! Be bold and step out to do that which is in your heart.

There are some things that you cannot be sure of. If you wait for the perfect weather, you will never plant your seeds. If you are afraid that every cloud will bring rain, you will never harvest your crops.

Mr Wise man Solomon in the Bible said something that touches the core of my being. One thing I like to do when I want to better understand a Bible verse is to read it from multiple Bible versions. Check out what Solomon says in Ecclesiastes 11:4

Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant.  If they watch every cloud, they never harvest (NLT)

Don’t sit there watching the wind. Do your own work.
Don’t stare at the clouds. Get on with your life (MSG)

If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done (Living Bible)

Those who watch and wait for favorable winds never plant,
and those who watch and fret over every cloud never harvest (The Voice)

One thing is for sure, as you take these steps of faith God will provide all that you need.

I speak blessing over you as you choose to step forward into the great and mighty things God has for you =)

Encourage Somebody!

For instance, there was Joseph, the one the apostles nicknamed Barnabas (which means “Son of Encouragement”) – Acts 4:36

Imagine being nicknamed a son or daughter of encouragement. That would be a great name to have! In the Bible we learn about Barnabas in the book of Acts, who sold his field and brought the money to the disciples. This money was used for the gospel. Before his act of generosity is mentioned, the author of Acts makes sure to reveal his nickname: Barnabas – son of encouragement.

To me, this means that he was someone who would encourage those around him, so much so, that he earned a nickname because of it. When reading this verse it speaks to me of the importance of encouraging those around us. There is so much negativity in our world today that if we don’t encourage each other we can become overwhelmed with fear, discouragement, hopelessness, discontentment and even depression.

So today, I implore you, next time when you are speaking to someone, encourage them.

. Encourage somebody with what the Word of God says about their situation.
