Psalm 8:3-9 (NLT)

When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—

the moon and the stars you set in place—
what are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?
Yet you made them only a little lower than God

and crowned them with glory and honor.
You gave them charge of everything you made,
putting all things under their authority—
the flocks and the herds
    and all the wild animals,
the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea,
and everything that swims the ocean currents.

O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!

Friends, it is time we start learning to appreciate God for ourselves.  Don’t focus on what you do or do not have materialistically, but instead focus on the creation that you are. When God created you He said ‘you are good‘. He was pleased with the end product and that product is perfect.

Psalm 8:4-6 tells us that the God of ALL creation in my own words is crazy about you. You are His prized possession. He has crowned you with glory [something that brings or is worthy of praise, resplendent beauty or magnificence] , and honour [high respect, as that shown for special merit; recognition or esteem]. What are you that God should be mindful of you and that He should visit you? You are His Grand Finale, His Masterpiece.

Final Thought

Look at yourself in the mirror today and appreciate every part of your being.

I believe that the more we thank God, appreciate and actually love ourselves, the closer we will get to see ourselves from God’s perspective, and that false misrepresentation of ourselves from the world and the enemy will fall away.

I can only imagine what God thinks when we say one negative thing about ourselves.

Friend, you don’t need other people to tell you how beautiful or wonderful you are, take God’s Word for it.

You are His highest praise.

It has been two months since my grandfather went to be with the Lord. My granddad left a legacy for his family. His kindness and generosity is something that reminds me of God’s kindness. This week I got a chance to share my story on Wendy van Eyck’s ‘I love devotionals‘ blog.

It is my first guest post on any blog and I am so grateful to God for this opportunity.

Please check it out here: When God breathes life into a hopeless situation

Be encouraged friend!

A poem (Guest Post)

Posted on: April 9th, 2014 by Margret Kadembo No Comments

Today we have the final post of the #DreamSeries, a guest post coming from a crazy young lady [Margret] with a love for Jesus, language and words. Be blessed with her poem.

Dreamer,
Doer,
Believer,
Seer.

Dreams are a wish your heart makes,
They tell a story of one’s deepest desires,
No matter how big,
No matter how small.

Dreams can be achieved,
Only if you have the courage to follow them,
To ignore the negativity,
And begin the journey of a dream.

Never stop believing,
The dreamer must believe in whatever they do,
Because what seems to be wishful thinking,
Can have the potential to  change the world.

How can there be a future without dreaming?
How can we say the future will happen if we don’t believe?
Have faith,
Keep dreaming.

Because the day you see a dream,
It will be like no other,
No matter how wild they seem,
You’ll know you can pursue another!
